A night without a dawn
A virtuous heart grown cold
Caressed by the shadows and torn
Drowning in the disgrace
And the dreams that you left within me
Descent into madness
Those dreams are broken
Scornfully holding the key
Rising from the depths in rage
Forever cursing the Gods
Sorrows Bequeathed
Defiled and broken
Embraced by night's twilight
Falling, burning, twisting, tumbling
Into throes of everlasting disdain
Lost in time, anguished screams of pain
As my soul is now wrenched from its shade
In despair of a fathomless depth
I reach out for the dark as humanity fades
Defiled and broken
Embraced by night's twilight
The lighthouses now fade
Their beams no longer guide

I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer

This world cannot be hopelessly evil, as long as beautiful and inspiring music like this is still created on this planet. Fans of "October Project" and early "Clannad" probably will be delighted. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
A powerful metal opus, blending soaring vocals, intricate melodies, and thunderous riffs for an epic listening experience. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 26, 2023

A thorough repudiation of any claim that metal music is uniformly angry / negative. Bombastic synth prog with death growls, riffs, and clean flourishes. This record always makes me smile. bloodbrulee
